A familiar charting and automation setup

The traditional environment for charts, indicators and EAs. Check that your account supports MT4 before installing.

MT5

A wider analysis and order setup

It can offer more timeframes, order types and market analysis features. Compatibility with MT4 tools needs to be checked separately.

WEB

Browser access

No installation is needed, but the available features can differ by browser, account and region.

APP

Checking on mobile

Useful for monitoring on the move, but get into the habit of re-checking order values and direction on a small screen.

Security checks before installing and logging in

Use the official page and official app stores rather than an installer sent through a search advert or a messenger.

Verify the source

Check the domain, the publisher and the app developer, and refuse to install unofficial remote-control software.

Check features on demo

Practise placing, modifying and closing orders, and reading profit and loss, on a demo first.

Protect your account details

Never pass a password or verification code to a community operator or to someone in a messenger chat.

Understand EA risk

Automated trading can malfunction, lose connection or over-trade, so keep logs and have a stop procedure ready.
