Who regulates it
Clients who open an account on the official Korean-language sites (xmglobal.com/kr, xm.com/kr) contract with the entity below.
- Contracting entity — It is XM Global Limited.
- Regulator — Regulated by the Financial Services Commission of Belize (FSC) under the Securities Industry Act 2021, licence number 8557558. The official Korean-language page calls this body '금융위원회' (Financial Services Commission), but it is a different body from Korea's Financial Services Commission.
- Headquarters address — XM lists it as Suite 101, 63 Eve Street, Belize City, Belize.
- Group regulation — XM states that the group as a whole is regulated by CySEC, FSC, FSA and DFSA, but the contracting party for Korean-site clients is the Belize entity above.
- Korean authorization — XM Global is not authorized by Korean financial authorities. When you use an overseas firm, it may be difficult to receive protection under Korean law if a dispute arises.

Client funds and balance protection
These are safeguards stated by the company. They do not protect you from trading losses.
- Segregated funds — XM states that client money is held in accounts segregated from company money, at globally trusted financial institutions.
- Negative balance protection — XM states that negative balance protection applies to all accounts by default. Even so, losses can grow in an instant when prices move sharply.

Frequently asked questions
What is a CFD?
It is a contract to exchange only the price difference, without buying the physical asset. Trading gold does not make the gold yours. You can take a position whether the price rises or falls, but losses come in the same size.
Is this the official XM site?
No. We are a community that explains XM in Korean and shares sign-up links. Account opening, identity verification, deposits, withdrawals and trading are all handled directly by XM, the broker, and we are not involved. Always double-check conditions and amounts in XM's official information.
Where is XM based?
According to official information, XM operates in several jurisdictions including Belize and Mauritius, and its customer support page lists the Belize headquarters address.
Can I sign up from Korea?
The places the official site says it does not serve are the US, Canada, Israel, Iran and sanctioned countries; Korea is not on this list. XM also runs a Korean-language site and a Korean-language help center. However, XM states that users are responsible for complying with local laws and regulations.
Where do I ask about XM account or deposit issues?
XM states that its customer support takes inquiries 24/7 by live chat, phone and email. Our community does not handle inquiries on your behalf, so contact the broker directly about account issues.
