Four Checks Before You Press the Order Button
Body
The reason for an entry has to exist as a sentence, not in your head. If the four items below are not written down, your preparation is not finished yet. The time it takes to write those four sentences is what stops most impulse trades.
- How much can you lose: write the permitted risk per trade as an amount.
- When are you wrong: write the stop loss price together with the reason for it.
- How do you get out: decide the target and the manual exit procedure in advance.
- What do you leave behind: record whether you followed the rules separately from the profit and loss.
